Hero MotoCorp unveiled the Mavrick 440 at the Hero World 2024 event, signaling its foray into the fiercely competitive mid-capacity segment of the Indian market.
The Mavrick 440, based on the Harley-Davidson X440 available in India, is presented in three versions: the Base variant with spoke wheels, the Mid Variant featuring blue and red alloy wheels, and the Top Variant equipped with black and matte black diamond-cut alloy wheels.
The Mavrick 440 boasts a robust design, highlighted by an imposing fuel tank with extended shrouds, a round headlamp featuring an H-shaped LED DRL, and LED turn signals. Other styling elements include a sculpted fuel tank, a flat handlebar, a single-piece seat, a short front fender, and front telescopic forks, differentiating it from the X440's USD units. The motorcycle also comes fitted with round bar-end mirrors.
Ensuring rider comfort, the Mavrick 440 features 43mm front telescopic forks with a front travel of 130mm and a neutral footrest position. The lighting system incorporates an LED projector headlamp, and the instrumentation includes a negative LCD. Additionally, the motorcycle offers smartphone connectivity for call alerts and turn-by-turn navigation, with Bluetooth connectivity as a standard feature.
Powering the Mavrick 440 is a 440cc long-stroke oil-cooled engine generating 27bhp and a peak torque of 36Nm, with an impressive 90% torque accessible at a low 2,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a six-speed gearbox and includes an assist and slipper clutch as standard.
Bookings for the Mavrick 440 are scheduled to open in February 2024, with deliveries slated to commence in April.
